Hello! My name is Anne and I am a second-year Aerospace Engineering major. Joining BSLI is the best decision I made as a freshman and I am so excited to be one of the Deputy Project Managers for the NASA SLI team this year. I started in Avionics where I helped design, build and test the flight computers for our 2025-2026 competition rocket, Phoenix. This year as a DPM, I am leading NASA's Outreach and L1 Certification programs while contributing to airframe design and integration across subteams.
I am extremely passionate about STEM education and outreach and look forward to expanding this initiative within BSLI. As someone who was inspired to pursue this field through an outreach event, I care deeply about paying it forward to the next generation of engineers and scientists. This past summer I worked at the National Student Leadership Conference where I taught and mentored high school students interested in engineering and aerospace. These experiences allow me to connect with students interested in the field and offer them advice, guidance and support as they explore it theirselves.
Outside of BSLI, I am actively involed with the Society of Women Engineers and the STEM Exploration and Engagement Scholars here at Ohio State. Within Society of Women Engineers, I am the E-Board Chair and for STEM Scholars I serve on the Leadership Council. I also enjoy giving tours for Ohio State's College of Engineering and visitng my high school on behalf of the college as a Pathfinders Representative. In my free time catch me playing guitar, reading and listening to music.
Space has fascinated me since I was young and I knew early on that I wanted to contribute to the field in some way. Today, I have specific interests in human spaceflight, mission operations and establishing a permanent human presence in space. I am also particularly interested in commerical and global space policy and hope to use my technical engineering background to inform decisions that shape the future of spaceflight. I look forward to starting that journey here with BSLI.
